| Bruce Sterling's idea of a "Spime" is a fascinating one, describing a future class of objects starting out and ending as pure data, but having a physical representation as part of their life(cycle). Key requirement for such new objects is a sophisticated fabrication technology of which we have seen the beginnings in recent years. |
R&Sie(n) (François Roche and Stéphanie Lavaux) are a Parisian architecture/art practise heavily focussing on generative design and fabbing processes to create real world instances of their designs. (Some images taken from ARCH'IT.) |

I've become increasing interested in R&Sie(n)'s work over the past year, especially their project 'I've heard about...' (http://b.durandin.free.fr/iveheardabout/iha.htm). Does anyone at Everyone Forever know of any other organizations with a similar social intent and/or technological rigor dealing specifically with processes in architecture? Thanks!
