Rush Hour, Morning and Evening. 2005. A short film by Mark Lewis. “What I really like is using an old-fashioned form to make a kind of simulacra of a very modern experience. Using old forms to make images which are modern in their feel is a way in which those forms can be reinvented. Basically, old and new together.” |
This film, along with several others by Lewis, are currently being exhibited at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Great show!
